 Part-Time Workforce Development Coordinator

The PT Workforce Development Coordinator is the primary intake contact for new and existing students. Working closely with the National Executive Director, the Coordinator supports students along the student lifecycle path from prospect to placement. The Coordinator is the point of contact during the student’s educational journey. The Coordinator in collaboration with the National Executive Director, is responsible for delivering essential professional skills workshops to adult learners as part of PLA University’s workforce
development program. This position offers flexible working hours, averaging approximately 20 hours per week.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Complete admissions interviews with prospective students.
  • Assist the National Executive Director in presenting professional skill workshops online or in-person.
  • Monitor student program enrollment, drops, and withdrawals to identify and formulate action plans for success.
  • Follow up with students throughout their educational journey through email, text, and phone.
  • Respond in an appropriate and timely manner to all student inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive, confidential, and up-to-date student records within the enrollment management database system.
  • Process documentation and student information appropriately according to departmental standards.
  • Assist students with resume building and interview skills and participate in interviewing role-play
  • Assist in securing employment opportunities for students by establishing relationships with training providers and community partners.
  • Participate in team meetings and/or 1-1 meetings with the National Executive Director, as required.
  • Provide departmental reports on student interactions and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate student records.
  • Ensures timely responses to all stakeholders 100% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned by the National Executive Director

LOCATION:  Fort Worth, TX, or within a 40-mile radius. The candidate must be local as this position combines in-person and remote work. 

DO YOU HAVE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience communicating and interacting with diverse populations
  • Familiarity with effective facilitation strategies and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to large groups
  • Ability to work independently
  • The ability to commit to the hours Monday - Thursday 5 pm - 8/9 pm and in-person weekend workshop facilitation 16 hours every quarter.
