The Opportunity: As a PLA Academic Program Manager, you will ensure the PLA academic program model is executed accurately. You will support teaching staff and interventionists with lessons, small group instruction, pacing, assessments, rostering, and training. Our Academic Program Managers drive towards excellence by creating positive and supportive relationships with classroom teachers, administrators, and staff. Having high expectations and holding to our academic model ensures every scholar's ability to succeed.
In addition to serving on the school leadership team, you will engage in seminars, workshops, practicums, task completion, coaching, and mentorship. The position is designed to prepare highly qualified candidates who are knowledgeable, trained, equipped, and ready to implement the PLA model and lead PLA schools to success.

The Campus: Hope Community PCS - Tolson is a public charter school in Washington, D.C. that was founded in 2006 and recently joined the PLA network in 2022. We serve about 250 scholars from PK - 8th grade with a school population that is reflective of the strength and diversity of the community in which we are privileged to serve.
