The Opportunity:  As a PLA MTSS Coordinator (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) they will be responsible for coordinating academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive. The MTSS Coordinator will serve as a key partner to teachers, administrators, and families by utilizing data-driven practices to monitor progress, inform instructional decisions, and promote equity and consistency in student support.

Key Deliverables:
  • The MTSS Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring that all students receive the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support they need to succeed. In this role, the MTSS Coordinator will:
  • Coordinate and monitor academic, behavioral, and attendance interventions across all tiers of support.

  • Facilitate data team meetings to review student progress and guide instructional decisions.

  • Support teachers with implementing intervention strategies and progress monitoring tools.

  • Collect, organize, and analyze student performance and behavior data to identify areas of need.

  • Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and support staff to ensure fidelity of MTSS practices.

  • Communicate with families regarding intervention supports, student progress, and next steps.

  • Provide professional development and coaching on MTSS processes, tools, and resources.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with intervention plans and reporting requirements.

Experience and Education Requirements
  • A passion for working with students and families in under-served communities
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university; with appropriate endorsements, if applicable
  • Valid State Teacher License or enrolled in a credentialing program
  • Effective pedagogical skills driven by standards and data-driven assessment
  • Experience tracking and using data to drive instruction
